Guest Anonymous
Hi, I'm an MD recording newbie (MZ R37). I'm an anthropologist, and I've got a bunch of interviews and meetings recorded that I want to try and use my computer to transcribe. I understand from other postings that I have to re-record my MDs into my computer. Do users have suggestions about what's good software for this purpose (especially if it's free, but I'm willing to pay for something that's worthwhile)? What's important to look out for with any software? Secondly, does anyone know of software (again free if possible) that allows you to transcribe easily? Ideally, what I would need is something that lets me type in a Word document, and still control the play/pause/rewind buttons. Also, something that could slow the signal down without distortion would be really helpful, as well as something that would allow me to cut the file up into smaller tracks, etc. Thanks in advance, freddiematters :?:
