Hi,

I have an MD system at home, the DHC-MD333. Unfortunately it cannot edit MD's at all anymore or record onto MD anymore. Everytime I try to edit/record I get a 'C11, MD Protected message'. Some people suggested the pin inside the unit which detects whether the disk is write-protected may be bent. Can anyone give me more information? How can I fix it, can I do it myself? Also is there a good, reliable and cheap place in London that does MD repairs?

Thank you,

Shams

Hi and thanks to the person who suggested that I put sticky tape over the write-protection tab, it worked on one of the MD's I put it over. Haven't tried it on any others but I'm sure it should work.

Thanks a lot whoever you are.
