Guest Anonymous
Apple tells me I am crazy but what do they know... I can't get any sound from my md unit and my mac!1 I want to run my md unit (mzr50) into my mac g4. I am using a stereo cable coming from the line out on the md to the line in on the mac. In system preferences (sound) I am getting a reading on the line in volume meter and still no sound. The mute is off. I am getting all kinds of sounds from the mac but nothing from the md? Any ideas as to what is going on here? Side note..I can plug my speakers that I have for my mac and plug them into the md unit and get all kinds of sound. Apple thinks it is the unit. I tewlll them that it is theior computer that isn't putting out sound. I have done used this setup before with a pc and had no problems. Mystyler
Not much help, but it sure does sound like your G4. I'm no good with Apples, sorry. BTW, you know that the R50 is considered to be the best MD recorder of all time, sound, build and operational wise?
Guest Anonymous
I think you should go to the sound controlpanel and select the the line-in as your source of sound as opposed to the internal cd-rom. That should do the trick. Have fun ;-) Eric
