murasame_
Hello ladies and gents, I want to buy a mic preamp for my N505 but I can't decide which one to take. I want to record 'normal' songs, meaning neither that loud nor that quiet ones. Would be great if you could easily record lectures, conversations, stuff like that. And it should be able to record 'louder' sounds without a battery box, too (I don't want to have distortion when it gets a bit louder). I'm using usual mic capsules for recording. So, considering how I want to use the mic and having in mind that I'm recording through the LINE IN of my 505, which preamp of these following should I take? Any suggestions? Please help me. 1) 9V battery block; amplification: 46dB (at 1kHz); range: 10Hz-40kHz (-3dB); input resistance: self-adjusted; output resistance: 47kohm; max. output voltage: 500mV (it's adjustable, you can change it) 2) 9V battery block; input sensitivity: 0,2mV-2mV amplification adjustable from 150-1500 times range: 50Hz-20kHz 3) 9V battery block; input voltage: 100mV output: 150mV-4V (adjustable) range: 20Hz-20kHz Well, now what do you think? I don't know that much about preamps, that's why I would be really grateful for any help, no matter what.
