sookaa
I will try and be as accurate and precise as possible. MiniDisc Deck: Sony (JE640) --manual missing SB Live Platinum with IR Drive Optical out from IR Drive to Optical In on Sony deck I set the deck to Synch Rec and add my playlist to winamp 2.81. When I cue winamp to play, the deck starts to record the signal properly, and as long as the tracks are in mp3 format, there seem to be no problems with the tracks marking themselves properly on the deck, and I get an exact replica of what is on my playlist....However, if I cue .wav files in winamp and do the same operation, there is no track separation...I have tried this on the same files, .wav and mp3 versions of the same files...if there happens to be a 2-3 second silent part, the .wav recording will generate a forced track mark, but the same file in mp3 format will not, and will only do it inbetween songs as it is supposed to. Complicating this for me is that I have a VERY large collection of concert bootleg live recordings that I have ripped onto my hard drive using EAC....I don't want to have to compress these files into mp3 before copying to minidisc, but at the same time I don't want to have 2 seconds of forced silence between tracks of a live recording...that makes it quite artificial. Am I missing a way around this...I have read as many posts as I can here and am still at a loss as to whether I am doing something wrong, or if it has indeed been definitively answered....any and all help appreciated! Cheers

Cheersyou may try to use Nero: 1. Create a virtual CD with your wavs (set pause to 0 seconds) 2. Mount it using ImageDrive 3. Play your virtual CD
