Sugo Posted March 3, 2003 Report Share Posted March 3, 2003 n505 has ATRAC Type R, but it's used only for SP ATRAC recording. LP4 is in ATRAC3 format. The encoding can be done on computer (transferred via NetMD) or on the unit itself (via analog or optical input). LP4 has significantly lower quality than SP and LP2.
