Guest Anonymous
My newbie ass can't figure out how to get my recordings from my sony n707 md to my notebook. First the md does not have a line out, so that's out. I've tried the imic without success, i'm not sure where i plug into the md (headphone jack, line-in or mic-in). I was told the imic would work for what i want to do but must be using it wrong. I have windows xp on my notebook so i think i can transfer it to my hard drive with out a sound card, but i don't know where on my hard drive it goes. So far minidiscussion.com hasn't been any help. Guest Anonymous
So where on the hard drive does it save? I've tried cooledit and it doesn't recognize the usb port to the imic. I also tried the sound recorder on my notebook using the imic but with the same results. Finally is it worth it to hack the md so the headphone jack works the same as a line-out? Sounds risky but..... thanks marz

Sound Recorder saves where you tell it to save (using "Save As..."). With other software it should be similar. http://www.griffintechnology.com/support/i...MIC-PC-014.html
Guest Anonymous
Now i found out it did record but didn't have sound until i unpluged the imic. Any reasons? Also the space seems limited to something like 400 seconds, anyway to change the time or add more? Finally i've tried the cooledit demo but can't get it to recognize the imic, should i be able too and get it transfered from my md to there? thanks marz
