Guest Anonymous
I have been rehearsels of my band with a ECM-MS907 mirophone (Sony) on my MZ-N505 MD (also sony). How can I get a louder recording, without distortion? How can I Upload the recorded song to my PC without quality loss?
Guest Anonymous
I've been using this same combination for nearly a year now. I've gotten some great recordings of my gigs, but they do come out at a very low volume level when played back on the MD. The N505 is not really set up for live recording, but it does make excellent recordings with that mic. You have to upload to your PC to boost the volume. To date, the only way I know of of is real time playback into your sound card. Use the mic input on the sound card because it's usually boosted up a few decibals. In Windows, you can control the input level at the port so the signal's not too hot. There's a variety of software out there that will allow you to record from the mic port to disk. Sample rate can be adjusted in your soundcard record properties or audio software. Even basic software that comes with a Soundblaster or CD burning suite can help you to make a decent output to disc. Good luck.
