Guest Anonymous
Hello, I'm new in this forum, I am sorry if this has been discussed before. Has anybody used an MD to store data by means of sounds? Not like the MO drive but like a tape as in the old commodore 64 days. I wonder how much data you can squeeze in that way... BJ
That's a cool idea, and it would probably work. But I remember waiting 45 minutes for "Temple of Apshai" to load on our C64, and I certainly don't miss the "good ol' days" that way. I felt so liberated when we got our first floppy drive. Mmmmm....5.25" floppies..... *ahem* Okay, now that I've hopelessly dated myself, any other comments?
LostChordSearcher
I tried saving a Timex Sinclair program I wrote to mindisc a couple months back, but I think my Timex Sinclair must be broken because the recording had so much power line noise in it that the computer couldn't read it back in successfully. I was using high quality shielded cables to make the connections, so that's not the problem.
