Wally7676
Hi evryone. I read in this NG of a Mironics tool which I'm sure can help a lot in PC to MD (and viceversa) recording! But I'm still wondering about what seems worse to me about this PC <<>> MD linkage : is there any way to tranfer music at more than 1x (realtime)? I have a MZ-R 700 which obviously is non-NetMD. When I bought it I thought that, in some manner, I would have been able, buying some added hardware, to record not in realtime. But now I'm a bit concerned it's not possible. Ideas? Thanx
Sugo
With r700, I don't think it's possible (unless you are a sony engineer or something ).
Bazirker
NetMD is the ONLY way to make a recording faster than 1x...unless you have laser eyes, and then you can make your own "pre-recorded" dics if your eyes are fast enough. Sorry dude, you're out of luck. That's why I think NetMD is so cool, it's not that there is anything wrong with realtime, except that IT TAKES A LONG TIME! If it really bugs you, check out NetMD. Word is you can get an MZ-N505 online for US$88 from uBid. As a side note, micronics is for titling minidiscs and helping you make your realtime recordings. Unfortunately, it really doesn't do anything more than help you make titles without having to enter it on the md unit.
Guest Anonymous
although the answer to your question is "no" the replies are incorrect, NetMD is NOT the only way to record faster than 1x digitally... there are a number of shelf systems that can do 2x high speed dubbing from cd-> MD
KJ_Palmer
You can also do 4x recording (in SP mode) with some decks (eg. MXD-D40) and shelf units .
