BJ
Okay, blonde moment. I do grasp the idea of the battery box for a microphone, but everyone recommends one with bass roll off--and I have no clue what that is. Could someone more in the know explain to me what exactly it does to improve your recording? I've pulled off some good recordings without, but what do I stand to gain by pursuing this? Mulio!
All a bass rolloff filter does is remove the lower bass frequencies from a recording. Sometimes, in a hall or club, the low freq. rumble can muddy a recording.
