Guest Anonymous
I just bought the MZ-N1 and am quite pleased with it. So far I've copied some songs onto my MD just to test it out quickly, and it all seems to work well. Now my question is how does the whole storage thing work? Thinking that I can copy hours worth of mp3s onto my MD, I checked out the amount of space that was left and all i had left was 60 min(i think) It said i used up 14 minutes already. I thought that with the MDLP feature, it would prolong my storage but so far it seems like it can only hold as much as a cd. Am I doing something wrong? Sugo
I assume the MiniDisc you have is 74 min long. 80 min ones are available too. 74 min means the disc can hold 74 mins of SP recordings or about 150 mins of LP2 recordings or about 300 mins fo LP4 recordings. The SP recording using NetMD are not true SP and only has LP2 quality. So most people only use LP2 for NetMD.
BJ
If you're using OpenMG, double-check your options menu to make sure your record mode is set at LP2 instead of SP. I wouldn't recommend LP4 for music, but it works well for voice.
Guest Anonymous
I checked openmg and it says im recording in lp2 mode, but how come when on the "time remaining" indicator, my total time is only 74 min? shouldnt it be 148?
