Guest Anonymous
Pause and play should be a common function on all remotes. The sharp md-mt877 definitely allows it, and I'd be willing to guess just about all the newer players/recorders allow it. Which one is the best? It depends on what you'll be using it for. For recording, I'd go with sharp; for general playback, I've heard sony is better.
casey
I guess I did not explain myself.I want to be able to pause during RECORDING and then record again all from the remote, this way I can put the minidisc recorder near the person giving the lecture and pause and record from my seat via the remote. Thanks
Nikola
Then I think that synchronized recording is for you. This means that your recorder pauses automatically when there's sinence, and resume recording when someone starts talking. Some recorders also have trace-back recording (always keeping the last X seconds in a buffer). Myself, I would heartfully recommend Sharp DR7 / DR470. But I'm prejudiced ;-)
casey
And which MD recorders have synchronized recording? Does the sony n707 have that? Any cheaper models then the Sharp DR7 have it?
