vaporpark
Hi all, I am totally new to MD and I need some help on making my first purchase. I am looking for an MD player/recorder that I can use for various needs like live recording/the gym/and car listening. I am not big on Net MD so that is not really an issue unless someone can redirect that thought. Through my research it seems that the Sharp's are really geared for live recording. Of course the DR7 seems nice but is a little high on price. I found a few good deals such as the MT770 for $229, MT190 for $199, and the DR7 $279. Any suggestions or recommendations from the seasoned members here would be most appreciated. I have not ruled out other brands so feel free. Thanks, Vaporpark
Sugo
How about work extra part time for a few weeks and get the DR7? It has longer battery life. Unlike MT770/880 you can fully operate the unit without the remote. It has trace-back recording. The headphone output is rated at 8mW+8mW which is way above average (MT190 has 10mW+10mW though). Lastly, the 1-bit digital amp is truely revolutionary. If you browse around T-board forums, many long time MD fans say DR7 is their dream portable MD recorder. I don't think I am helping here
Guest Anonymous
What is Traceback DR7 feature? Does this let you rewind part way through a track?
