grego-m Posted March 26, 2003 Report Share Posted March 26, 2003 I'm running MSI's K7N2G-LISR (NForce2) mainboard. This has all the bells and whistles included. I'm trying to record original audio CD's to my portable Sony MZ-R900 minidisc player/recorder via the SPDIF optical input. Anyway, to cut a long story short......no matter what source I try to record from, be it the actual PC or the CD-ROM drives, the MD is unable to copy anything (the MD screen comes up with NO COPY error). I've been told that this may be an NForce2 protection, as the X-box uses NForce tech, my friend tried to record some original audio CD's from his X-box, to no avail (same problem). Does anybody have knowledge on any "workarounds/hacks"?? Thanks. PS. I can get recording to work (using the opti cable and synchro rec hack on the recorder itself)...surely there must be an easier way?
