Looking at MD for recording conversation with seperate mics - which way to go? (Am quite new to all this..)

Needs to give quality recording for archiving

Simple for us non-tech folk to use

Be able to play back via a HiFi and transfer to PC to burn a CD archive copy

Be able to split the recording up into tracks to make trans-scribing or subject listing easy

Sony or Sharp?

MZN 707 or MDMT190 ?

What 'gotchas' should I be aware of?

Cant afford DAT tape recorders, old cassette machine seem so 20thC .. is MD the way to go?

Thanks!!
