Petoria
You know the drill: Bought my first MD recorder last week now I'm looking for that mic & battery module combo to go with it. I could either got for Sound Professionals standard binaural mics with the module which would set me back 250$ or go with Stealth audio which would cost me 100$. Of course, the cheap bastard in me wants to save 150$ but that bastard is also wondering that it's to good to be true. Both mics and battery boxes have the same specs. =============================== SA Premium Binaural Mics: =============================== Specifications (before modification) Frequency response: 20- 20,000 Hz Signal to noise ratio: 58dB, 1khz at 1pa Open circuit sensitivity : -42dB (5.6 mv) re 1v at 1pa Dynamic range: 90dB, 1kHz Maximum Input Sound Level: 105dB SPL (120 db when used with one of our battery modules), 1kHz at 1% Maximum Sound Input level after Modification: 140+ ==================================== Sound Professionals Miniature Binaural Mics SP-BMC3 ==================================== Signal To Noise Ratio: 58 dB, 1 kHz at 1 Pa Dynamic Range: 70dB, 1 kHz without battery module, 90dB with battery module Frequency Response: 20 - 20,000 Hz Open Circuit Sensitivity: -42 dB (5.6 mV) re 1V at 1 Pa Maximum Input Sound Level: 105 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D. (120dB when powered by our battery module) ==================================== So, what gives? why so low a cost for the Stealth Audio mics? Someone on here who bought the SA mics, please do let us know if you got good recordings out of those mics. Is it a good deal. Help is much appreciated. Guest Anonymous
Hey, I just bought the combo pack 2 with one set each of premium cardiod, and premium binaural mics. Also, the battery box with bass roll-off and level controls. I had intended to get into taping but decided against it. Let me know if you're interested... Never used, will sell for $125 or best offer. (Package costs about 150 from Stealthaudio.) googoofa@aol.com
Guest Anonymous
I bought theyre premium binaurals and battery box 3 months ago and have been using them since. They sound awesome and are super tiny i walked right by a security guard when i was wearing them and he didnt notice They are worth the money for sure. my friend uses core-sound mics(they cost $200+) and he said the sound just as good
Guest Anonymous
Stealth audio mics don't sound nearly as good as the Core Sound mics. Save yourself the troulbe and buy some from Sound Professionals or Core Sounds. Don't go with Stealth Audio, unless you want a half-assed product.
