chuchichan
I have been looking in the forums and have picked up bits and pieces of how to get mp3s onto an md player. I apologize if the answers to these questions are in the forums somewhere. My main question regards the Sony mz-nf610. As I understand it, this is a "non-net md" player/recorder. How does it differ in getting mp3s onto the md. About how much size does an mp3 take up when I transfer it?
KJ_Palmer
Ah, but the NF610 is a Net MD recorder. See here: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-NF610.html. The size of an MP3 file is irrelevant when copying to MD. It's the recording mode that matters and that affects the time available for recording, ie. 'SP' gives 80 minutes, LP2 = 160 mins and LP4 = 320 mins on an 80 min MD.
jobo-jimbo
I believe that most programs that people use with netmd players (if thats what you have) automaticaly change your format from mp3 to atraac (if thats how you spell it) I have open md duke box for pc, and although i use a mac i can sometimes get onto a pc and that does change from many formats to atraac. hope thats of help to you jobo-jimbo
Guest Anonymous
ALL programs convert to ATRAC, because MD doesn't support MP3 at all.
