Guest Anonymous
Hi! I use a Sony mz-r900 minidisc recorder for recording live music. Lately, when recording lectures, an occasional 'clap' or 'click' gets recorded. It's really wierding me out! I never expected to get such artifacts on a minidisc recording. The noises aren't ordinary background noise, and It's not coming from my computer. If I play back the minidisc recording through headphone attached directly to the minidisc recorder/player, I can still hear the strange 'claps' and 'clicks'. Sometimes the 'clap' noise is especially loud! What could cause this? Can it be fixed by cleaning something in the recorder? BTW, I am not recording in compressed mode. Thanks, Steve
Guest Anonymous
If you are recording from your PC onto MD through an analog sound card, then the noises are coming from the sound card, the only workaround is to use a sound card with Digital OUT.
