Cellex
I would like to purchase and install the latest car in-dash audio unit that has both MD and CD features i.e. that there should be an MD slot and a CD slot. I am not interested in the changers unless one of them is self-contained in the in-dash unit. I've tried searching the net but in vain. Could someone help me please to identify the best most reliable units possible? Many, Many thanks, Cellex

Guest Anonymous
I purchased an A;pine unit a couple of years ago. with an in-dash 3-disk magazine, plus a minidisc player that is exposed when you press a button. I bought a pair of extra CD magazines for convenience/flexibility. So far, I only tested the minidisc player with a test minidisc prior to purchase, but am now looking around for a recorder, since the proces are much lower now than when I bought the Alpine unit a couple of years ago (when I was talked out of buying the alternative CD/cassette combo unit). So I'm looking forward to at last recording my own selection of tracks ... The Alpine unit sounds great! But it cost nearly AUD $2000 then (two years ago), and there may well be others around now. At the time, it was the only one on the market.
