Guest Anonymous
Could be the write protect tab on the disc itself, try checking it.
Devilbunny
Pull out the optical cable and look at it. Is the light glowing? If not, there's no signal. How you fix that depends on what kind of hardware you're using to get digital out. I have the Xitel DG-2, and have found that it needs to be unplugged when starting up the computer, then plugged in before starting the MP3 player. Guest Anonymous
-disc is not write protected -when i pull out the optical cable i see a red glowing in the handbook of the audiocard which i purchased only for doing MD recordings are also screenshots of options in the tools which came with the card, but i dont have the same tabs... maybe there is a "general" software with options for the spdif module.. the soundcard is a "hitpoint apollo cmi8738" maybe that info also would help. i also tried it with the discman of my sister, the same message there, but there are some words about in the handbook: check optical out..
