Guest Anonymous
:?: Hi, I'm relatively new in the world of MD (less than one year). I've got both a portable MD and, then, an integrated deck with MD and CD. When I bought the integrated deck, one of the main advantages I expected was the possibility to copy text directly from the CD to the MD. The question is that, after having copied around 30 of my (original) CDs, almost none of them seemingly had any text incorporated (so far I think just the Daredevil's soundtrack). I would like to learn from the experience of others: do you have the same experience with this (i.e. that hardly any CDs do originally incorporate any text?). Is there any other possible explanation (e.g. that there are other ways to detect the text of the CDs, any error of myself in the manipulation of the deck, etc.)? Maybe this just happens with the European releases (they do not normally incorporate text) and not with the US or UK ones... Thank you very much in advance for any answer
Mystyler
That is generally the case - most CDs don't have CDTEXT and most of the time, the ones that do are prevented to allow the transfer of track titles! Odd, huh? If your deck works with CD-RWs or CD-Rs, you can make your own compilations and use incorporate CDTEXT with them.
