Garathor
I have a Soundblaster live player 1024 soundcard, and a Sony MDS-JE770 minidisc deck. I was wondering what sort of cable i should use to connect the SPDIF OUT on the soundcard to the COAXIAL IN on the minidisc deck. Now I'm just using a cheap cable with a stereo 3,5mm jack in one end, and two RCA plugs in the other (then i connect the red one to the minidisc coaxial in since that is the one with the signal). I suppose i should use a 75 ohm impedance cable with a mono 3,5mm jack in one end (to the soundcard), and a RCA plug in the other (to the coaxial in minidisc). Is it possible to get such a cable, and where could i get it? Another thing. I've heard that the SB live SPIDF OUT has a higher voltage than the standard 0,5. Do i risk damaging my minidisc when i'm recording from it?
