dreamst8
I have a full size Sony JE480 which i've had for about a year. I record mainly using analogue from a nicam VHS video. I've probably recorded about fourty discs in this manner and listened to just over half of them, and as I am going along I am starting to notice a slight slurring, as you would get on old tape decks when the belts were wearing out. I've asked elsewhere and people say it has to be the video recorder which is at fault with minidisc being digital... Is this correct? Both pieces of equipment are at least a year old and I've recently cleaned the heads on the video after noticing these problems. My main concern is i don't recall hearing anything as bad when doing the recording as I am hearing on playback.
Guest Anonymous
What do you mean by "slurring?" If you mean motor noise, it could be either piece of equipment, as I remember there is an issue with some MD players recording some sort of motor noise over their analogue input. Sometimes it sounds perfect, other times not
