I'm Having some problems when recording with my R700. I'm transfering Mp3 with PC LINK (MD-Port DG2), and some musics are "cutted", i was monitoring the recording and there was no problem, but when i listened what i've recorded, the music was cutted with blank spaces. Some musics where recorded normally. I guess it's my Recording Head. How can I clean It? can i use isopropyl alcohol?

First and formost, DO NOT clean the record head (or the laser) with any fluids. Chances are you will (A) bend the head out of alignment, (B) break it, © or there is nothing wrong with it. You can always do more harm than good. You MAY try a can of compressed air the clean the inside. If you want to keep your heads clean, try a suitable cleaning MD from Discwasher. It is safe for your unit (I have used it on over 7 of my own without harm). Also re-read the documentation about the use of the PC-LINK. I do not use it and do not have enough knowledge to help any more in this respect. Also by reading the e-mails, are you by chance using SOUNDSTAGE? It seems that everyone is complaining about it. Good luck.-Mike
