Guest Anonymous
Hi folks, I tried doing a bit of a search for this but I'm still left a bit stumped. I was for getting an mp3 player such as the 15gb ipod or 20gb archos recorder, however: 1. I'm probably going to run into compatibility issues with an ipod on a windows 98se machine. 2. I really don't like the look of the archos, it just seems tacky & it isn't from people who have much of a history with dealing with music (afaik) I then came across netmd which I still haven't really got my head around but I've gathered it allows files to be compressed on a pc and then transfered to minidisc via usb. Is it possible to convert mp3's into the artrac format to be transfered to md? If it is possible I'm a bit concerned about an already compressed format being compressed further into the artrac format which may result in a real crap sound. Looking at the mz-n910 & mz-n10 I see they support mp3's but does that mean they can be converted or they can be transfered directly to md to be read by the player? I'd really appreciate any help on this. Regards, Brian.
Guest Anonymous
Apologies, I just realised there was an entire forum dedicated to netmd. Was rushing the post a bit an having just came across the these boards was a bit hasty. Brian.
