Guest Anonymous
do you need or should you even use a battery box if your md player has a mic input with plug in power? is line in with powered mic better than plug in power mic input? le' me know - m(d)aniac
BJ
I've heard that the battery box + line in combination gives cleaner results, especially on Sony units, but I haven't had a chance to try. Otherwise, I do get fine results with a non-powered homebrew microphone plugged into the mic jack, but I'm not that picky.
Guest Anonymous
thanks for the info. likely not a problem to use additional battery then. I'll give it a try. I dont know if the minor distortion I've picked up is due to overloading my mic or simply having the rec'dg level too high. Well thanks again mdm
