Leshita
Hi, I've just got my first summer-job and am looking forward into getting my very first MD player. Primarily I am going to use it to store and play my mp3 files, but I will probably use it to store CD tracks as well. I did read quite a few topics and did some lurking online, and found that the Sony MZN-10 seems to be something I like both in style and function. However at a hefty price of $599.99 (Canadian) at Futureshop, I'm not sure if it's a wise investment. When can I expect a major pricedrop for this, or just MD players in general? Also, will the MZN-10 last for a LONG time (is it durable?)? What other MD players do you people recommend? Anyone know anywhere in Vancouver where they sell MD players at good prices? BJ
I've been plugging the MZ-N707--it's a good starter unit, solid, etc. Does the Net MD thing and has line & mic input. Not as many bells and whistles as the N10, probably not as sturdy, but certainly nothing to sneeze at. You'd probably have to wait until Sony releases the next generation or two of MD units before the N10 drops in price. The N707 is already discontinued, so it's much cheaper than it used to be. Leshita
After hearing your comments regarding the N707, I think I might just get that. However, as it is discontinued, it may be really hard to find for me in stores (I don't order online... ). Anyone know a store in or close to Vancouver that still has the N707 in stock? Of course at a reasonably cheap price too. Also, when do you expect the next-generation of Sony MD units to be released? This Fall? Lastly, what is a good price for a N10 right now? Is $475 Canadian a good deal?
