I just got Binaural microphones and a module w/ bass roll off and level control for my MZ-N1 to record a DMB show at an outside venue in a few days! Im stoked, but concerned; I've only got one shot!

Any suggestions for me: practice ideas, recommended settings, how to get it all into the show, where to put the mic's for recording and and other advice those with experience can give!

This is one of my favorite bands! I'd love to add my own live recording of Dave to my collection!

Thanks

ok well to get your gear in the easiest and safest way is to wear to pairs of briefs and slip your gear in between layers... if you still have the protective pouch that would be handy cause it keeps it in a package... once youve passed the gates or whatever, go to the tiolets, or find a good safe place if thats not a real option and fish your stuff out and get it comortable...

ok mic placement... probally the best play is for your head (its easier to keep still higher up etc) if its cold the best way is to wear a beenie if its hot wear a hat... run the mic up to your head use some bobby pins of something to keep the mic in place and then put the beenie or hat on and make it kind of loose so it doesnt really expose the mic...

as for settings im an a novice if that... all i can sugest is that your bass isnt too loud, thats a common complaint.. but you have bass rolloff which is completely out of my league...

hope that helps...
