Guest Anonymous
I love the sound of my Sony MZ-N510, but when I compare it back-to-back with my home system, the my home system blows it away. It is much richer, deper bass, more dynamic range, etc. My question is, would the Sharp MD's come closer to the sound of my home system? If so, would I be better off geting the tried and true DR-7, or should I take a chance and go for one of the new units (DR-80 or MT-880)? http://www.audiocubes.com/index.php?cPath=71_75 BTW, I use my Sony without the remote, so the DR-80 doesn't look like a good option, since it doesn't have an LCD on the main unit. Am I hoping for the impossible?? BTW, phones are Ety ER-4S. I have tried a TotalAirHead amp with the Sony, but don't like the loss of detail when I use it. For me, the Sony has pleanty of juce to drive the -4S even without it. Other options would be to go for a Rio Karma... ?? (advantage- capacity, disadvantage- battery life)
