can I use a sony car head unit with a pioneer cd changer?

Just replaced my pioneer car head unit with a sony MD head unit, however the connection from the Pioneer CD changer (in the boot) does not fit the Sony MD. Are there any adaptors (or similar) available to match the Pioneer cable to the Sony head unit?

No, even if you could, the data signals are completely different and proprietary to each company.

I wish they'd all go to a standard USB connection, but I guess it's not in the manufacturer's best interest.
