Guest Anonymous
I bought a Sony MZ-NF610 thinking that it would be useful in recording things like funerals and such off our church PA system. I have access to a line level tap off system which I've used in the past for cassettes and VHS recordings. However, reading the manual Sony tells me to use a special cable between optical input and line level souce. (part # POC-DA12SP) The cheapest source I've found is $84.00 for this cable. What is this overpriced cable doing that a patch cable won't and is there a way around this problem?
KJ_Palmer
That's scandalous, there's nothing special about the NF610's line in. You can just use a standard patch cable.
