Guest Anonymous
Hi, After doing quite a bit of research the past couple days about MD models and reading the forums I'm pretty convinced that the MZ-N910 has the best bang for my buck and is somewhat supperior to the MZ-N10. My problem is that I've been looking on eBay and most of the MZ-N910's are shipping from Hong Kong and the company shipping them is in Australia. This requires spending money to do a wire transfer, duty, etc. Is there any cheap way for me to get a MZ-N910 into the US? I haven't really seen anywhere in the US that sells them. Also, I was hoping to keep my spending to around 200 USD. I might be imagining things if I want the MZ-N910 for this price, but just out of curiosity, what would be a good model for around that price? Thanks! Phrizzawh
at 200 you wont get a 910 sorry try audiocubes they have it for 280... www.audiocubes.com i think For 200 you might get the N710, but whatever you do dont get a EUROPEAN version, the output is pathetic (1.2+1.2mW) i got one last week and it sucked replaced it for a 910... Guest Anonymous
You can find MZ-N707 on Ebay for $150-175 (sometimes less) and it's a good solid recorder. The extra $100 you'll pay for the MZ-N910 gives you a mic sensitivity switch for recording loud music and probably on-the-fly level adjustment. I use the MZ-N707 for all sorts of recording and it's quiet, reliable and cute. But it does distort with any decent amount of bass, so you need to run a mic through an attentuator cord (sold at Sound Professionals as such, Shure and Radio Shack as headphone volume control, all $10 or under) to control that. Or wait till April for Hi-MD--the chaper ones are supposed to be under $300.
