WeNdeL
Here is my situation... I do a lot of sequencing at home via ProTools and Reason. I use this sequenced audio to support my band's music in the studio. I would like to bring this element of the band to the live show. I was wondering if you knew of a Minidisc device that has a midi out on it that would allow me to synch the playback of the audio files to a click machine attached to my drummer's headset.. Any ideas?
Expander2000
I don't really think so...at least not yet. The only way to play midi fils on an MD would be to convert the midi files into wav using winamp or such, then burning them to an Audio CD (CDA), then playing the CD in a cd player equipped with an optical out, piping it into your MD recorder. Or just record it staight in from the sequencer via analog.
WeNdeL
I know that a MiniDisk plays audio. What I want is to hit play on the mini-disk and have it send a simple "start" signal to a click generator (drum computer). Drummer has the bpm dialed in and basically we end up with the mini-disk synched to the click.
