Guest Anonymous
I'm sure this is the same old, same old but I want to upload interviews from my MD onto the 'pooter (assuming I have an audio line-in on the sound card). What's the best and cheapest way to do this (I am a bit technically illiterate). Also, what's the best (and cheapest/free) audio editing software to use? Any good tips for editing? I am recording people/press conferences for radio broadcast. Thanks
tmeg
There are a number of applications available. A free one is "audacity". With Nero comes the Nero Waveditor. And then you could use my app win nmd, which has the advantage to work with NetMD and therefore eases the recordings so you do not need to cut, trim and name the recordings manually but let it do the PC automatically. Guest Anonymous
Seconding the above: Audacity is a good free sound editor if you just want to record the MD onto your computer in realtime. But if you've already edited the MD down and have track marks where you want them, WinNetMD (recommended above) is a godsend--it uses NetMD and turns each track into a separate file, so you can just record the tracks you want or record the whole thing with all the tracks. If you're doing interviews and have a different track for each person you interviewed, it should be very useful. I think it cost me about $15--the price is in Euros--and the timesaving is well worth it. Use the link in the reply above.
