MD is a very versatile format. Yes the iPod is larger capacity. but I do not want my drive to die outside of the warranty. There is something different about recording on disk based or even tape based media as opposed to harddisk based units. you change recording levels, use mics, yes you can do these things with many HDD based units now too but one keeps on making folder after folder and subdirectories to store files instead of "tracks". I still feel that MD and HiMD are better that all those HDD based things. Unless sony releases some hdd or RAM based unit that plays and store huge amounts of ATARAC files. Also I have always found ATRAC to be a much sharper and better format than mp3. Are there any home HiMD decks in the planning? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
