Help quickly please Sharp MT180 vs SharpMD-DR480/MD-DR7

I can get the Sharp MT180 for about a 100$, or the newer SharpMD-DR480/MD-DR7 for the going rate of 250$. What would be the better choice, money is a factor but some of the reasoning for going big is that: A) Will have to buy a preamp to record lecture/live music for the 180 along with mic's, and if so will this put me up to about 250$.

I am mostly wanting to record lectures and random musical events. Along with listening to plenty of music from my collection. Quick Help is appreciated.
