Guest Anonymous
Ok, checked the page here in the equipment browser and the japanese page as well and in this case you're toast... Since the digital transfer is inside the unit, there is no way of intercepting that signal and processing it externally, so SCMS-Copybit-killers won't work here. But, it is NetMD. So we have some options: A.) Rip it and transfer it via NetMD. B.) Rip it and make a normal Audio CD from that. then you can place that into the Bookshelf and copy it digitally. C.) Rip it and play it back and record from the digital out of your soundcard. D.) Record to cassette tape and from that to MD... Sorry, but these are the options you have. To me, option B seems to be the best, as it would give you a CD that can be played back anywhere as well. Strangely enough, most copy protected CDs cannot be played in a computer but it is no problem to copy them and get rid of the protection as well. Software for that is usually available from internet sites outside the US. Sorry, I won't post links here, because of the DMCA, so I recommend a search engine... Christopher
I have moved this topic to "General non-NetMD Recording", and I ask of you to please post topics in the relevant subforum next time. Thanks! p.s. KJ_Palmer owns one of these systems, perhaps you should give him a PM.
KJ_Palmer
I don't think I can help Jeremy. The CMT333NT won't copy protected CD's even in analogue mode internally - it won't even play non-redbook ones. The only hope is to use an analogue cable and go through line in with an external CD player. You could also try using a black felt marker around the CD rim, but this could ruin Kylie, and is not guaranteed to work anyway...
