I used to have an MZ-N505, but I upgraded to an MZ-N510. I used the group mode a lot, because I listen to music when I go to sleep. So it would stop playing after the group was done, instead of just playing all night long through the entire disc. Anyways, I was wondering how to turn it on (even if it's possible) with the 510, because the manual doesn't say you can. But why would they take that option out? Also, when I'm using the group button to skip through groups, on the display it'll show GP: and then the group name, I was wondering if there's anyway to get rid of it. Because I recall that you could with the 505.

Hey there,

I have seen this forum today for the first time and I immeadadly try#d it, and I got the same problem, now here is the solution:

Remove the battery and the minidisc and plugin the power suply

1 Activate Hold and press Group

2 Press the usual FF FF RW RW FW RW FF RW Pa Pa

3 Release Group

From here it is al little different:

now the the MD is blinking between a display check and "008 V1.600"

4 Press FF

Display: 000 Manual

5 Press FF

Display: 010 Laser

6 Press 5x Vol +

Display: 060 F code

7 Press FF

Display: 061 xxxxSxx

Hexadecimalnumbers are counting don't mind them, change the last two numbers with vol +/-

8 Press FF to get to byte 62 and change that too.

-The numbers you need can you find on:

Disconnect the power, plug in the battery's again, and enjoy your new MD, I got the advanced Equalizer and the timer, have fun with it, laters!
