DJ Mitee
I have just bought this very nice SB Audigy ZS PlatPro with the intention to back up approx 300 minidiscs. Playing all 10.000+ CD tracks in shuffle is cool, but adding all the Minidisc songs would be even cooler. Now I am looking for an easy way of getting to record to my PC from Minidisc. I have connected to the digital SPDIF port but the software only creates one big mp3 file for the total disc. Does anybody know about software that can record all tracks in seperate files so I just have to name them?
Christopher
I think you'd need to employ a program that can cut large audio tracks like that, perhaps like cooledit? There's plenty of editors like that out there..perhaps someone will chime in.
A440
Assuming you have a NetMD recorder, the exact program you want is WinNetMD. http://christian.klukas.bei.t-online.de/fi...md/winNetMD.htm It's not free, but it's only about $15 paid to a real person (not a company), and boy does it save a lot of time editing. It records each track from the MD as an individual .wav file and will also take titles if you've put them on, getting the track and title information via the USB and NetMD. It needs OpenMG or Sonicstage and the Windows .net framework to run, which is a big free download.
eltel
Hi, We use Magix Audio Cleaning Lab De-Luxe 3.0 which you can now buy at a reduced price. It is superb for copying from MD to PC (headphone out to line in on PC) Once in to Magix you have all sorts of editing options - naming tracks, eq, stereo. compressor, reverb, cut, paste... You can also convert to MP3 plus other formats. Once you've sorted it all out you can burn to CD. We have found it to be a brilliant piece of software for all things music. Restoring vinyl and tapes... Cheers
