MD Recording Solution

Hi everyone, bit of a noob question, but I've read a few posts and ain't satisfied with the answers...I'l try to keep it quick:

My Situation: Sharp MD-MS 722 which I love to bits.

My Problem: Impatience, I was almost gonna replace it with an MP3 player (Gah!). More specifically, I hate separating, naming and waiting for real-time recording with the digital input.

Solutions??? Well this is where I was hoping you come in. First I'll lists a few I've come up with:

1. Some way to track-mark - This attempt at a solution has really fallen through though because I don't want 3 second gaps (every second counts!) and I'd still have to wait in real-time.

2. A net MD-Drive: Haven't seen any for non-sony laptop! and....

3. A net MD minidisc.

If I was to buy a net MD minidisc recorder the only reason would be for it's net MD capabilities. The aim would be to use the net MD as a super-faster recorder and keep my Sharp for playback and Mic recording

Is there any consensus on the best low-price net MD?

Any sites with bargain price MD's?

I also realise times have changed since I bought my Sharp. What should I be looking out for in today's MD?

Finally can I have some clarification about the whole mp3 thing. It sounds like I can't simply drag and drop an MP3 into the MD (Is this true for all Net MD or just Sony?). People have talked about messing around with Nero, but can't I simply convert the Mp3 to wav and drag those files? Net MD software does accept WAVs riiiight???!

Thanks! smile.gif

Try Ebay lots of deals there. Sharp are the best to get. This unit DR420 has been getting alot of praises for quality and price:
