GTF
Well, this isn't exactly a "record" question...it's more of a playback/copy to a CD question. I have a MZ-R900 and bought it primarily to record music using a microphone, which it does. What I want to do is copy the minidisk data to my PC and then burn a CD. PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS POSSIBLE. If not, please tell me the "work around". Thanks much! George gtfrueh@comcast.net
Christopher
I deleted the other two threads you created and the response to the MZ-R900 thread you also made, simply because we don't need the same question here over and over. Alot of this information was available already, I recommend you utilize the search feature next time. Anyway, what you need is an analog male-to-male stereo cable [easily available at your local electronics store], and you can hook one end to your headphone out and the other end to your microphone in on your computer. Then you would utilize a program like this to make the transfer a little bit easier: http://christian.klukas.bei.t-online.de/fi...md/winNetMD.htm Obviously, the transfers would be 1:1. You could also go down the deck route. By purchasing a deck with a digital out, you would have a pure digital upload to your computer granted you had a soundcard with a digital in. An average Minidisc deck and soundcard with optical in would run you around $150ish. Hope this helps.
A440
WinNetMD won't work with the R900, only with NetMDs. Just get a basic real-time recording program, like the free Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ You're recording the MD in real time onto your hard drive, and then you can edit it into separate tracks with Audacity. There's no quick upload function until Hi-MD arrives.
BJ
...and even then, you'll only be able to do the quick upload on recordings made on Hi-MD equipment. Your old recordings will still need to be transferred in realtime.
