ekul5400
on saturday, i sadly fell onto my minidisk causing it to now be unable to respond to anything, no buttons get a response, and although i know almost nothing about electronics when i opened it up, it seemed as if everything was fine , nothing was disconnected there were no scratches on the inside , just some slight damage to the outer casing. i know im being very vague but if there is anyone that can help please do so thanks a lot
Christopher
So the unit doesn't turn on at all? If so, I think the only thing you can do is get the unit repaired.
ekul5400
no, it does nothing, thanks anyway but is there anywhere i can get it fixed other than shipping it off to the sony centre (i could get a new one for almost the same price)
Christopher
Unless you live in Asia then there really isn't any other places you could get it repaired besides an authorized Sony dealer. Sounds like you're getting a new unit, eh? If so, I can help you find the right one.

Christopher
The Sharp IM-DR420 [http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_IM-DR400+DR410+DR420.html] will do you a world of good. I believe it's priced around 110 pounds in the UK. Fantastic unit.
