blindboy14
hia peoples, i'm new here. also, i'm blind. i'd like any help you can give. I'm looking for some software to transfer music to my net md walkman. it's not uploading i'm concerned about, i can label tracks myself. it's the downloading i'm concerned about. I've tried simple burner. my friends, who are also blind, say it works, the nero method. but my simple burner won't do anything. it'll show the time, and the box for method, but i can't get it to do anything. so i tried sonic stage. it works, but i need sighted assistance, which i don't have regularly. are there keyboard shortcuts in the latest versions of these software? also, i tried simpler md. image drive 1.0 just sat there writing the image for about 20 mins which i'm guessing isn't normal, then version 2.2 of image drive did the same thing with mounting. are there any other ways of doing it? preferably something with lists, boxes, tree views and buttons, something simple and not too graphic, that's what throws me off with sonic stage is the way the buttons are coded, they're all graphics. i'm kind of rambling, but whatever. any help greatly appreciated. thanks brandon own: sony mznf810ck. iceeedtea
Welcome to the MiniDisc Community Forums. Well, I don't know of any software that gets simpler than SonicStage. The only software that I know of that can transfer to NetMD is (mainly) driven by a graphical interface - OpenMG, SonicStage, Simple Burner. You could try RealPlayer 10 to see if you like it; then again, do you really want to go near that spyware-ridden bloated piece of junk coded by vile, greedy monkeys out for your money? I've heard of people complaining about things being too user-unfriendly (not enough large buttons for them to hit), but, your complaint is the first of its type I've ever heard. :rasp: Give SonicStage 2.0 a shot. It's a lot better (personal opinion) than 1.5, since it's more "user-friendly". About Simple Burner: I don't really understand what you're saying. You mention a problem with "ImageDrive"; I assume you are talking of the one bundled with Nero to mount images? If that is the case, try using this to mount your discs instead. Let me know if that isn't what you meant.
