Hi there,

My E10 is broken and it's being fixed now. But I think they won't fix it because it's clearly something (a kid in this case) fell on it. You can see a very nice bumb right above the battery on/off switch, and the unit doesn't do anything. So it's pretty obvious what happend to my little machine. But i should get some money from the insurance company so i can pick up a new one. But now i'm not shure wich one to buy. Here in the netherlands (MDcenter.nl) only sony sells players and they won't ship the new HiMD players to the netherlands . Sharp sell's MiniDisc here but only there NetMD's. So now i'm looking outside the borders of my country. I know the units that are on the market but i don't know anything about the sound quality. And i'm looking for the player with the best sound quality. So what player gives me the best quality? My budget won't be such a problem (if everything goes well with the insurance).

Honestly, if I were you, I'd import from another country. We've reached the point where shipping doesn't cost an arm and a leg anymore [in most cases] when coming from across the pond or the far east [in your case].

You must get a player with a digital amp. Period. Please catch up on this for me:

Honestly, the best player I've ever used is Kenwood's recent line of units [s33/55/77]. Featuring unrivaled sound [even compared to Sharp's offerings], great functionality [espesically with the remotes], unusual asthetics and a few other keen aspects, you really end up getting the most bang for the buck. I own the S55 myself, and feel free to check out the review here:

Anyway, there are other options, like the Sony E720 and the Sharp DS8/DS70. I think any of the aforementioned units will give you the best experience, moreso than your E10, at least in the sound sense.

If I were you, I'd try http://www.audiocubes.com .

p.s. If you're still a little unsure, what kind of music do you primarily listen to? I've reached the point where I can actually prescribe the right digital amp unit to someone based on their musical taste.

Mostly rock, not metal. Like the red hot chili peppers and radiohead. And I'm very keen on the separation of the instruments maybe so must not sound like one block of music. Maybe that can help you. Thanks for the help so far.

At this moment the Kenwood S77 is the most appealing to me. Although i prefer the S55 design I really love the timer function. There's no better way to wake up with you're favorite music smile.gif. Maybe the Sharp is also a good chose but AUVI headphones are rare here, maybe it's better to say unavailible.

All three of the model have the timer function. You will not find a clearer player than the S33/S77/S55 i have only tried the S33 which is by far my favorite minidisc player ever(better than Sharp Auvi). Kurisu really charmed me with his review to get one and i'm so happy i did. Here is my mini review on the Kenwood S33:
