Androidus
I have some AAC music files on my HDD that I want to transfer to MD via m3u2sb but that proggy doesn't recognize the file type...Is there a way to convert to mp3 so that I can transfer them over? Christopher
Here's one way: Open the file in iTunes; highlight the songs that are in AAC, and go : Advanced > Convert selection to MP3.

iceeedtea
Just wanted to chime in here. It's actually better if you go AAC -> .wav, and not AAC -> MP3. By going with the latter, you are decoding the AAC file to .wav, then having iTunes recompress it into an MP3. Then, transfering it to your unit using m3u2sb decompresses the new MP3 into .wav, then Simple Burner compresses that with ATRAC3 [LP2/LP4]. Bad. You lose a lot of sound quality. If you own the original CD, it would be a lot better if you just directly copied CD -> MD using Simple Burner. Then again, if all you have are AAC files, use iTunes to convert it to a .wav file. And then, there's the problem if you bought the file from the iTunes Music Store. Heh.
Jimmix
You could use Real Player 10 as it can now read AAC files compatible with iTunes AAC and will let you transfer your songs to the NetMD with the Device Plug-in. Haven't tested it yet but I suppose it should work the same as it does with mp3 files.
