Just got my 1st MD- JVC XM-R70SL -is it a good one?

Also, Im gonna try and record a few concerts and wondered on the best microphone to get. Im in Canada as well.

It's not a bad unit, pre-MDLP and has a decent battery life. I'm sure it'll be a fine SP-only recorder. I'm going to go ahead and move this to Live Recording so you can get some tips from someone who may be able to help you..
