djsteen
How do I 'Check-In' music from my minidisc to my computer? I'm using Sonic Stage 1.5 and I've tried just dragging it over but it says there was an error in the transfer. :wacky: Is there a way do copy it over? Are there different programs? I'm a bit of a newbie to NetMD, but I've had a recordable minidisc since 2000.
Christopher
Welcome to the forums. You cannot transfer music from the MD to the PC in a high-speed digital scenario. You can transfer it digitally via a deck with an optical out, or in an 1:1 analog configuration. Hi-MD addresses this situation by allowing uploading via USB. Please try searching next time. djsteen
I have a line out on my MZ-R900, would that be the digital out I need? I have a thing that goes from USB then to a little box and that converts it to an optical cable port and then to the MD unit, They can go back and forth to the computer but you use the program it comes with to put the music onto the computer right? I hope this makes sense. Thanks heaps!
Christopher
I am very familiar with the device you're talking about, as I own one myself. Unfortunately, this device only transmits information one way, and that's to the MD unit. For best analog results you can use line out, with a male to male analog stereo cable; one end in the line out [aka headphone jack], and the other end in your "mic in" on your computer. djsteen
ohk, that's easy enough. What kind of program would copy the music in? AND is a good quality?
A440
The MZ-R900 isn't a NetMD unit, so Sonic Stage is not for you--there's no USB connection on the MZ-R900 for Sonic Stage to work through. Might as well uninstall it. You're just going to use your computer as a sound recorder in real time .
