ive have a dazzling question on hi-md's som 1 plaz help!!!

hello im a new user n hve this question,

do u have 2 buy a hi-md player recorder to use hi-md disc's or can you use hi-md discs with your old md player through sonic stage 2.0, (just that i read something somewhere that said somming like this. it was on the official sony site i think)

and how much a a hi-md disc cost??

I'm glad you figured it out... new media will not be playable in old players... but old media WILL be playable in NEW players.

That's the way technology usually works.

Yeah what it means is that new Hi-MD recorders can not only use the old, regular MD media, but it can "reformat" those old 74/80 min discs to allow them to hold double the music-- which I think is awesome.
