fiddler
Hi Folks I've been using the DR7 for a few days now and it's a great unit. However, I was disappointed to find that the music speed control feature of the recorder (i.e. the ability to reduce playback speed by up to 30%) actually alters the pitch of the music. In other words, when I reduce playback the music drops in pitch as well. It's annoying when trying to learn a solo and you have to learn it in another key first. Why does the unit do this? I would have thought that since the music is digital it could simply be slowed down. Why does the pitch change like on old tape decks with a 'Variable Speed' control knob? Is there any way round this (hacks, etc.)? Cheers, Fiddler.
